manufacturers no longer make motherboards with IDE controllers. That is fine for computer manufacturers and most users who wouldn’t know what that means any way. However; those that are technically oriented and have a bunch of IDE drives are facing a bit of an issue. They have a hard time finding motherboards that have an IDE controller and take a Pentium 4 CPU + DDR memory. That can help you put together a solid system good enough for most people and save a lot of IDE hard drives from the landfill. They are good drives. Why not put them to good use.
Interloper.com is one of the few etailers that still carries Pentium 4 motherboards with IDE controllers. One such board is the Jetway P5T533A. Here are the specs.
Supports Intel® Pentium® 4 and Celeron processor in the Socket 478, VIA P4X533 chipset, 1 AGP 8X, 4 x 32-bit 33MHz PCI, DDR, USB, IDE, Audio, ATX
